Growing up, I knew I wanted a career that involves helping people. I've always been curious, creative, and highly sensitive to others' needs — qualities that have shaped both my personal and professional passions, ultimately leading me to train in psychotherapy.

With a deep interest in art, music, and culture, I studied Communications & Cultural Studies with a minor in Spanish. The university I graduated from offered an amazing Master of Social Work program, but at the time, I didn’t feel ready for it. Instead, I moved to Toronto and enrolled in a post-graduate Public Relations program (the corporate girly and event planner in me prevailed). This launched a decade-long career in creative and corporate communications — a fast-paced mix of fun and fulfilling projects that, unfortunately, left little space to reflect on my own needs.
I spent most of my twenties sacrificing my health and well-being for other people’s deadlines and my subconscious desire to avoid the therapeutic work I needed to do. Burnt out and overwhelmed in my late twenties, I began seeing an incredible therapist — she was 81 when I met her — and I remember thinking, “I want to be her when I grow up.” As I deepened my own inner work, I also began formal studies in psychotherapy and counselling.

This transition came during the pandemic, a time when I realized I wanted to become my own safety net after experiencing how dispensable I felt in the corporate world. Now, as a psychotherapist, I get to work with clients through a creative, collaborative lens that fosters growth and advocacy through self-trust and sustainable solutions.

Between sessions, I spend time learning more about myself and the world around me. I love reading, researching, and writing. When I’m not nerding out, you’ll find me on long walks with my dog, at hot yoga or pilates with friends (my relationship with weight lifting ebbs and flows — but it’s so damn important). Living in Toronto offers endless inspiration through art, music, design, and trying out new restaurants.
